Visitors

We enjoy a wide range of visitors to Hope Nursery. These visits enhance our nursery curriculum and provide a variety of new learning experiences for our children. Visits are usually funded by your school fund contributions.

Dates of these visits can be found on our 'Calendar' page. We will share pictures of these visits on our Seesaw app so that you can look through and talk together with your child about the new experiences they have been enjoying in nursery.

Plant & Play

Vikki from Plant & Play provide educational workshops covering a range of topics including mini-beasts, growing, recycling, environment and many more! Vikki has also created Hope Nursery's vegetable patch and support the children to look after it. 

Belfast City Council's Ellie the Elf (Environmental Litter Friend)

Ellie visits nursery around Christmas for a fun session focusing on keeping Belfast clean, with storytelling abut litter and the environment, encouraging kids to be "litter heroes" and report back to Santa.

Wee Critters

Wee Critters run interactive animal sessions. John Allan introduces the children to his wonderful animal friends hoping to inspire an appreciation for wildlife and conservation.

The Gathering Drum

Joe introduces a selection of percussion instruments and African drums to give the children the opportunity to explore rhythm and movement in this fun, interactive session. He teaches the children different musical concepts as they join in the drum beat along with popular nursery rhymes and stories.
